
Janice Weis
Founder - President Elect
Janice Weis is the Associate Dean and Director of the Environmental Law Program at Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, a position she has held since 1994. She spent her childhood riding and owning horses and has been a member of Lake Oswego Hunt for many years. Janice has served as show manager/organizer for amateur hunter-jumper shows in Lake Oswego for the past 11 years, including oversight for the Nancy Wild Medal Series and Finals which benefit cancer research. She is a member of the Oregon and US HJA.

Marie Dodds
Founder - Vice President
Marie is the Director of Government and Public Affairs for AAA Oregon/Idaho. Prior to joining AAA, she was an award-winning journalist and longtime co-host of top-rated Portland radio morning shows. Marie has ridden and shown most of her life. She’s won many championships in Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation on the “A” circuit. She enjoys sharing her love of horses with young people and has been the advisor and coach of the Lake Oswego High School Equestrian Team for the last decade.

Ari Jochai
Treasurer
Ari worked in business services for the thoroughbred racing industry for almost a decade before transitioning to the financial services industry. She grew up riding Morgan horses, competing at local open shows until she had the opportunity to show on the Morgan "A" circuit. She is passionate about supporting riders of all levels and divisions.

Katy Lidster
Board Member
Katy is a Process Owner in the autonomous trucks division at Daimler. Her love of horses began as a child in England and she continued to ride after her family moved to Lake Oswego in 2008. This included joining the L.O. High School Equestrian Team and competing locally in hunters, jumpers, and dressage. She is now enjoying learning the lower levels of eventing with her lease horse, Juno, and is excited to give back to the local equine community.

Kristin Spurgeon
Show Manager
Kristin has been passionate about horses and equestrian sports since she was a young child. She grew up riding Hunter Jumpers, transitioned to Eventing, and is now enjoying Dressage training. She has held many professional roles in the equine industry, including farm manager, coach, and instructor, and loves all aspects of horsemanship. Kristin enjoys using her event planning skills to help develop equestrian events and educational opportunities.
